The main purpose of this seminar is to raise awareness of the population of the local products and the way it influences stable economic, social and financial sustainability.
First, for the organisation of such a seminar is needed to explore the companies and enterprises that have local products. Such information can be taken from the companies’ registration office. This will be followed by the creation of a web page, in which all the info about this seminar will be uploaded and published. At the same time it is better to make the production companies who are not registered at the businesses registration office know and in this way, we can create a network by introducing companies or producers with the same interest. The web page also serves for the promotion of the local products of such producers.
The training is divided into three parts:
The first day will be mostly in the form of a workshop where the local producers will display and introduce their products and at the same time they will have conversations through a questions and answers session with the producers and the participants of this seminar, who will mainly be university students. Therefore, the first day will be divided in two parts
- In the first part, it will be held at a fair, where local products will be displayed. Every business will have its section and in it, they can also display leaflets and posters.
- In the second part of the first day, it will be apply The Participating Observation method, and the representatives will also show their products and highlight the difficulties and positive sides of their products. The students will also be able to ask questions.
The second day will be a lecture, where the students will be lectured about the benefits of the state and the business and if the local products use has increased. Likewise, a person from the Chamber of Commerce might come and lecture on economic and social stability. After this, it will be necessary to use the Canvas method about national products and what the local products business should do to increase their sales. First, the students will be divided into groups. Each group will have a printed model in the form of a poster on which they will work. Initially, each group will be assigned a participating company in the fair. The students need to be motivated through questions on the local products, to make it clear what is being asked by them. This needs to be done in the form of brainstorming. They will write their ideas on small pieces of papers that will be stuck on the poster. Knowing that Canvas model has 9 fields, the students work on each field for 10 to 20 minutes per field. In the end, every group will make a presentation of their model in front of the others and they will also have time for some feedback.
Third day will include the Fieldwork method; a visit to any of these companies that deal with the production of the local products and which participate in the fair. The purpose of this visit is to see their work, how do they do it, and how they develop their products. At the end of the visit, the students will make a questionnaire and submit it to them. The questions will focus on the products, weak points, and improvements for better success in the market. The suggestions should be available in written form and each production company will have the opportunity to improve based on the given weak points provided by the students.
